Save the planet and empower a Zimbabwean student

Have you ever wondered how your old lap-top will waste away in a landfill somewhere outside of town? It’s not a pretty sight. Electronics, including lap-tops, are one of the greatest contributors of heavy metal pollutants. You don’t have to be a tree-hugger to know that’s probably not a good thing.

Solution? Donate your second-hand laptop to the Elias Fund! We recently received an email from our partners in Chiredzi asking for laptops for their scholarship beneficiaries. The lack of funding for public universities has made access to working computers sharply inadequate. The students are finding it difficult to study and complete assignments given the poor access to technology.

So if you want to empower these students with the best possible learning environment, and help the global environment at the same time, please let us know. Donate your old lap-top today. It’s a win-win for everyone!
