Thanks to all of you who made it out for the weekend in New York City. What a great time it was to see so many people in support of Zimbabwe. Our friends Dispatch put on quite the performances at Madison Square Garden and for all of us there it will not be a weekend quickly forgotten. Thanks for coming out and making it possible!
For those that are not yet aware, the Elias Fund is beginning a new program for easy involvement and contribution. Elias Family of Friends is a new community of Elias Fund supporters committed to bringing hope and opportunity to the youth of Zimbabwe through the programmatic administration of the Elias Fund. Basically, we need YOUR help in bringing change to Zimbabwe and so we are asking for a monthly monetary donation as little as $5. Think of it as giving one Starbucks coffee a month or one Chipotle burrito or one beer at the local pub to the Elias Fund. Just $5 a month will see great work brought to the people of Zimbabwe if we all band to together in support. So don't miss this opportunity to give in a big way.
As Elias likes to say, "That is very big love." Join his family and spread the love.
We'd like to apologize for the length of time with little news updates. Our two directors have been in Zimbabwe furthering projects there, leaving no attention to be given to the website... BUT they are now back State side and things are picking up just a couple days out from all the festivities of NYC!!
As you all probably know by now, our dear friends Dispatch are performing at Madison Square Garden this coming weekend in benefit of Zimbabwe. In coordination with the concerts, the Elias Fund is presenting From Zimbabwe With Love on Saturday, 14 July from 1 to 4pm. At Art in General, the event will be an afternoon of music, food, prizes and most importantly awareness for Zimbabwe. Don't miss an intimate jam session with Bongo Love, the McCoy Brothers, and who knows... maybe our friends from Dispatch might show up! Click here for all the info. We hope to see you there!!
There's also more news on Zimbabwe than is possible to discuss here. The situation continues to grow gravely strenuous. Please check out our links section for outside sources of news on Zimbabwean happenings. There has never been a greater time or need for us to become aware of what is happening in Zimbabwe.
