The holiday season reminds us of our abundance, but what if we made this holiday season different than the past? Zimbabwe is suffering a food shortage of critical level. Poor harvests and flooding has compounded the massive economic crisis, in which inflation has reached 231 million percent. With bare shelves, Zimbabweans simply cannot buy food.
The World Food Program (WFP) estimates 45% of the population is malnourished. Ten million people may need food assistance before the next harvest in April. Yet international funding has been cut short, and food may not be available come January.
