Across the Midwest

We have had a great start to our Family of Friends second leg of our tour. We started things off on Halloween in upstate NY with a fun coffee house show with some new friends, headed down to Fordham University in the Bronx, then said goodbye to our Boston homes as we began our trip back to Colorado and the West Coast. We made a couple of stops along the way for a show at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, crashed at the Oster Acres with some of our favorite friends and then stopped two nights ago in Lawrence, KS for a great show at the Jazzhaus. Many, many thanks to Ryan, Tanner, David, Sarah, Dr. and Mrs. O, Jill and everyone else who organized the shows and made our travels across the Midwest so comfortable.

The guys are experiencing their first dose of winter weather here in the states. We ran into an ice storm in western Kansas that sent us for a spinning ride on the highway and gave everyone a bit of an adrenaline rush but fortunately we drove away without a scratch to ourselves or our van and trailer. The ice storm turned to snow as we crossed the Colorado border and the boys experienced their first snow fall - see the video below.

We are about to head to Gunnison, CO for a show at Western State College tonight and from the looks of things some more snow and ice!
