HERE'S THE SCOOP

Whether you're flying in or driving across the country to be a part of the Dispatch Zimbabwe weekend in New York, we want you to help us in the fight for Zimbabwe. Sponsored by the Elias Fund, From Zimbabwe With Love will give you the opportunity to do just that. It will be an afternoon of music, food, prizes and most importantly awareness for Zimbabwe.

Before you arrive in New York we want you to ask your friends and family to support Zimbabwe and the mission of the Elias Fund. Ask as many friends and family members as you like. The donations you raise will go directly to the Elias Fund and the programs in Zimbabwe and raising awareness right here in America.

It’s a minimum of $20 (*note - entrance price has changed*) to enter the event but the more friends you get to support Zimbabwe the better your chances of winning some of the great prizes (VIP passes to the Dispatch concert on Sunday night, an iPod, items from Zimbabwe and more!!) awarded to the top fundraisers!! We know you all will raise more than we can imagine! It's all for Zimbabwe and you've believed in the cause so far, help us continue our mission!! Don’t miss this opportunity to hear first hand stories and experiences from Zimbabwe, great music and photo’s and have a fun and relaxing afternoon!!

CLICK HERE to REGISTER for the event.  There are a limited number of spots available so sign up now and tell us your story and help us raise funds for Zimbabwe.

CLICK HERE to print off the credit card form for individuals. Even if someone hands you cash they need to at least fill out their NAME and full ADDRESS. We will not use their information to solicit funds in the future. It's just for event records.

Donations can be made either by check (PAYABLE TO THE ELIAS FUND), credit card or cash. Make sure you ask EVERY individual you are asking for support whether or not they would like to receive a tax deduction for their donation. If the answer is YES, please have them fill out their name and address on the credit card form and we will mail them a receipt after July 15th.

Please make it clear that checks and credit cards will not be processed until around July 15th.

Send us emails over the next two months and let us know how you're doing and maybe we'll post your story on the website.  Emails can be sent to Laura@eliasfund.org with NEW YORK in the subject line.

Bring all donations to the event.  We will calculate the winners there.

  • Free food and drinks will be provided
  • Photography exhibit from Africa and plenty of music!
  • Bring extra change to buy CDs from Bongo Love and The McCoy Brothers and support their music

Greetings from Alaska!

My name is Tony and four friends and I - Drew, Cory, Sean and Sean - are road tripping across country in our van named Vesper. We figured it had to have a girl's name.

To raise money we've wrote up a big mailing list of friends, family, etc. and sent out letters with a description of our trip, the fund, and the issues in Zimbabwe. We included a picture of the van, and an already postmarked return envelope. We've also been selling the bracelets and we are planning a charity concert a little later on this summer with a group of local bands here that have already signed on to play (Think we'll call it "Eliasstock"). We'll probably sell the bracelets there, and all proceeds from ticket sales will go to the fund.

So far we've raised $400!

See you in New York!

We'd like to thank Chipotle for providing food  for this exciting event!
